Events1. VAL DI FASSA BIKEThe race The Val di Fassa Bike – Marathon presents itself to the numerous MTB-public with the first edition and some promising projects. The race starts in Trentino on Sunday September 12th, 2010. You can choose between three different itinerary lengths: “Short” with 31 km + 1000 m height difference, “Classic” with 47 km, + 2083 m height difference and “Marathon” with 64 km + 2800 m height difference. At the start are also important Italian and international mountain bikers. The event is part of 3 other great Italian circuits: the “Marathon Tour 2008 - Membrane Respira», the “GT Respira” and the new Alpen MTB International Tour. Infos under: www.valdifassabike.it
The race The 12th edition of the “Vecia Ferovia dela Val de Fiemme” is an Italian mountain bike marathon which starts in Auer/Ora (South Tyrol) and arrives in Molina di Fiemme (Fiemme Valley - Trentino). This relatively short and easy, light uphill route is 37 km long and ideal for families who like biking. The next edition is taking place on August 1st 2010. The route follows an old railway line, which has been abandoned in the sixties. People still remember the train which once traveled in Fiemme Valley. The itinerary goes on fast gravel roads, viaducts and through 5 illuminated tunnels, always with a magnificent view over the valley and Ora and Caldaro. The 2007-edition has been won by Hannes Pallhuber, who arrived a few seconds before M. Felderer; Annabella Stropparo was the first woman to reach the finish line. Last year the race registered 1200 participants, and they are increasing every year!
