The Village of Truden
Active Holidays in the South of South Tyrol
The village of Truden, known as Trodena in Italian, is beautifully nestled in the middle of the Trudner Horn nature park and captivates with its original and natural charm. Both those who seek quiet recreation as well as the active athletic types, such as hikers and mountain bikers, feel equally comfortable here.
The township extends from about 970 to 1,180 metres above sea level and covers the three areas of Kaltenbrunn, Mühlen and San Lugano. Large parts of the municipality fall in the territory of the nature park Trudner Horn and are, therefore, under nature protection. The exceptionally versatile flora and fauna of this little corner of the world are definitely worth preserving.
The wonderful village of Trodena
Make sure you take a walk through the village of Truden during your holiday. You should also pay a visit to the local parish church. Originally from the Romanesque period – from the twelfth century, to be precise – it was later rebuilt in the Gothic style. The statue of the Merciful Mother has offered solace to many pilgrims and believers.
The easiest and fastest way to reach our village is via the A22 Brenner motorway. Take the motorway exit Auer / Neumarkt, heading towards Cavalese, and continue until you arrive in Truden. You can also reach us comfortably using public transport.
European hiking village Truden
Truden is one of the European Hiking Villages and impresses with its enchanting landscape.
