Your accommodation in Southern South Tyrol

Summer in Truden
Two accommodations. One story. Everything started in 1979 when Ludwigshof was founded. Step by step, the hotel expanded, and in 2000, Luvina was added: a second building with its own unique character...

Our history

How it all began...

Christmas 1979

Anita and Josef founded the Ludwigshof Hotel with 18 rooms for their guests. Ludwigshof was a hotel, restaurant, bar, and disco at the time. People danced late into the night in the area which now serves as a recreation room.

1983 – 1992 – 1993

Renovation work took place during those years. Ludwigshof gained a terrace, the hotel was expanded with 16 new rooms, and a new dining room was added.

1997 and 1999

An elevator and 8 additional rooms were added. Ludwigshof had 42 rooms and needed a larger dining room again. As part of this, both the hotel’s entrance area and the reception desk were renovated.

Turn of the millennium – year 2000

A new chapter begins: Cristian and Helga open the Luvina hotel annex – 20 rooms designed to carry forward their vision of hospitality.

2003 and 2007

A new wellness area was added to Luvina, while Ludwigshof was expanded with a large motorcycle garage and additional parking facilities.

2018, 2020, 2022 and 2024

Step by step, the accommodations continued to evolve: all rooms received a fresh new design, while the lounge and terrace were redesigned. The hotel was also given a new exterior facade and balconies. The hotel’s kitchen underwent renovation as well. At Luvina, the breakfast room was redesigned, and a spacious carport was added.

Sustainability Label 2025

Following the installation of pellet heating systems, both buildings were equipped with photovoltaic systems in 2025. As part of these and other environmentally friendly measures, the property was awarded a sustainability label.

Glimpse into the future

Today, Cristian and Helga run the hotels Ludwigshof & Luvina with great dedication and a forward-looking approach. Their two daughters, Jasmin and Letizia, are also working on new ideas to improve and further develop the accommodations.
